Beesly 5: Round 8

Last round, the middle children of the Beesly house, Arbor and Halloween, grew to teenagers. The youngest, Valentine, grew to a child. The house was also robbed during the week, but thankfully they were one of the few families in town to have an alarm installed.

Still at the karaoke machine, huh?

Valentine: This is really fun!

Pao: Oof!

Do you really think its a good idea to be outside throwing water balloons at each other in the middle of winter!

Valentine: I got an A+!!!

Great job!!

It can't be time for this already...Happy birthday, dear Pao...

And Pao got to keep his hair color!

Happy birthday, dear May...

I can't believe you're an elder...

May: I find it unbelievable myself.

Glad to see that elderhood hasn't taken the spark out of your marriage, but must you make out in front of the penguin?

Hey, look who's back!

Arbor: Hi, mysterious voice!

Came back to visit the karaoke machine?

Arbor: We don't have one at my house.

Yay! Snow day! It feels like its been forever since we've had one of those.

Happy birthday, dear Valentine...

Well, a trip to the mirror is in order. Have you chosen an aspiration?

Valentine: I want a life of pleasure!

Ok, that's not too bad.

That's a little more annoying...but at least it's not 50 first dates.

Pao: So any new thoughts about your grandmother?

May: Huh? Oh, not really. I feel like that was really my mom's mission, you know? She only took July with her when they went on that trip, and July still lives in that house.

Pao: But don't you want to know...

May: Kind of. But honestly, where else could we look? They went to the far east for answers, and all they found was that story about the dragon.

Looks like Valentine made a new friend. I always find it funny when one Sim is dressed for winter and the other for summer...seems like somebody should be uncomfortable here.

Oh, great. The gypsy's back...

Toronto...hmm. Well, he is a romance Sim...but this might work.

That karaoke machine is quite the matchmaker.

And we have ourselves a new couple!!

Before I go...let's see how you did in scholarships. Looks like you did pretty well, Valentine.

Valentine: Thanks!

And now I must be on my way. I'll see you guys next round.

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: I know, not much went on. Houses with their last child are kind of low key. I can't believe that Pao and May are elders. And don't think the search for May's grandmother is going to end, I've got some plans for that.

Warner 1: Round 8

Next up is the Warner lot. Last round, Destiny and Eric continued to chase Eric's lifetime want of 50 dream dates. Unfortunately this made them less attentive to their daughter Dot, who grew from a child to a teenager. Dot soon started a romantic relationship of her own with Holland Halpert.

Welcome home, guys. Maybe you should wait until you get inside before you start doing that.

So how goes the dream dating?

Destiny: We're up to 20!

Eric: And now that Dot's grown up it should be even easier.

So being that Holland is a romance sim, I'm guessing there won't be a wedding right away.

Dot: No, we're going to put that off for awhile. Plus, I have to get settled in at work and everything.

So Holland...it's about noon on a Tuesday...you're at home in your underwear. Care to explain?

Holland: Well, it's not like we actually need the money. Dot and her folks make enough. And plus, this way I can use this time for other things.

Like taking out the trash, for example.

Holland: Exactly.

And chatting on the computer?

Holland: Um...yeah.

And who are you chatting with, exactly?

Holland: A friend.

A friend named...

Holland: Hey, why do you need to know?

Because I'm the mysterious voice.

Hey Angelica! What are you doing here?

Destiny: She came by for the party.

Party? What party?

Oh, this party. Happy birthday dear Eric...

and Destiny...

Hmm...not too bad...

Whoa! And Destiny is one of the few women in town to actually have gray hair!

Angelica: Yeah, I live with my roommate Andre.

Holland: Roommate?

Angelica: Well, we have a kid together. And I think he wants it to be something more...but its just not.

Holland: So...would you like it to be something more with someone else?

Ok, Holland...stop this now! It's Dot's sister, for crying out loud.

Destiny: Hello? Oh, hi Abigail. No, nothing new. I'm starting to think we'll never find anything about them. People can't just disappear, though. It just doesn't make sense...

Baby on the way!

Dot: I hope Holland is ok with this...

Wow, he actually seems to be reacting quite well.

Holland: Of course. Why wouldn't I be?

I guess I spoke too soon.

Brandi: Hi there. We met in the chat room...

Holland: Oh, yeah. Hi there. Look, we're going to have to meet somewhere else from now on...I live with my girlfriend and her parents...it would be a little too crowded if you know what I mean.

And meanwhile...it's baby time!

And?

Dot: It's a girl! Meet baby Elmyra!

Great!

Aww, she's adorable.

This is less adorable.

Holland: Do you mind if I swing by your place? Dot's still on maternity leave...

Angelica: Oh, sure. That would be nice, actually.

Shauna: Hi, I saw your profile in the chat room and I had to meet you. I'm Shauna...

Holland: Shh! Come on, let's go out back...

Let's go with flashbang...

Oops...

Gee, Holland, I'm surprised to see you helping out with a birthday, what with your time being so preoccupied elsewhere...

Holland: Aren't you supposed to be singing?

Oh, right...happy birthday, dear Elmyra...

She's cute, but a trip to the mirror is in order.

Much better.

Destiny: Come on, Elmyra. You can do it...

So any luck in the case of the missing family?

Destiny: No. No more leads this week.

Well, don't lose hope. I'm sure you or Abigail will discover something soon...

And just to show what a horrible person Holland is...here is his want panel. At least he fears Dot dying...probably because he'd have to raise Elmyra on his own.

Eric: So Holland, once Elmyra is in school and this stay-at-home dad game is over for you, what do you plan to do?

Holland: Oh, I don't know. I might start up my own business...

Dot: Really? Out of the house?

Holland: No...I'd invest in some real estate...

Yeah, I'm just going to be on my way now. I'll see you guys next round.

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: Man, Holland is going to keep life interesting. He hasn't actually woo-hooed with anyone but Dot yet, but he did lay the foundation with Brandi, Shauna, and Angelica. And Destiny and Eric are now up to 25 dream dates.
