Martin 1: Round 9

Last round was chaotic to say the least for the Martins. Great-grandma Kimberly passed away from old age early in the week. The rest of the family didn't exactly have time to grieve with three little kids running around the house. By the end of the week, Drum, Harmonica, and Violin had grown to children. But Risky Woohoo wasn't done with this family yet, and Clarinet became pregnant with a third daughter, Tamborine.

England: Mr. Bear says it's almost time for school!

Violin: Dad, what are you doing?

When the 8-year-old is rolling her eyes at you, it's probably a sign...

And there are the other two...still whacking each other with pillows.

Harmonica: He started it!

Oh, great. That means these three will be in the house all day...

Um, I hit return too quickly. But it looks like I picked the right one...

And so begins another endless string of birthdays...happy birthday, dear Tamborine...

Wow, this new group of toddler girls has lucked out with the hair.

Oh, good. Look who decided to join the party...

 Kimberly's Ghost: Ooga Booga!

England: Ahh!

I think it may be time to think about moving Kimberly's grave...

Again? I don't know how much more of this I can take.

Drum: What? We're just sitting here.
Sure, for now...

Emma: How did you get outside, Tamborine?

Well, there's 4 kids and 2 adults at home. I can see how she'd be easy to overlook.

I think it's time we said goodbye to Kimberly's ghost...there's too many kids in this house to have a ghost wandering around at night.

Bye, Kimberly!

At least Drum is a good big brother.

Birthday number 2...happy birthday, dear Drum...

Wow, very nice. Any thoughts on an aspiration?

Drum: I want a life of romance!

Ugh...I guess there had to be at least one.

Wow, not wasting any time, are you?

Um, I hate to tell you this, but you two aren't going to have a future together.

Drum: Huh?

There's already way more girls than boys in your class. No more girls are coming in this round.

Drum: But...we can stay together during high school, right?

Sure, I guess.

At least he has an easy lifetime want.

New job?

England: Yeah, it's time for a change.

 Violin: I got an A+!

Great job!

And it looks like everybody's making friends...

Aurora: I don't care what everybody at school says. You're really pretty.

Oh, hi Rachel. Haven't seen you around in awhile.

Clarinet: She came home with me from work today. Want to stick around for the party?

What party?

Oh, this party. Happy birthday, dear Harmonica...

Whoa! What happened to your eyes?

Harmonica: I...I don't know!

Don't worry, I'm sure everything is fine. Um, any thoughts on an aspiration?

Harmonica: Pleasure, I guess.

One romance, one pleasure...I'm striking out in this house.

Oh, it was Tamborine's birthday too. Man, that looks painful.

Ok, Gypsy. You redeemed yourself last time. Let's see what you've got for us today...

 Who is this?

Harmonica: His name is Elmer, right?

Elmer: Yup. But, um...I think we should just be friends.

Harmonica: Why?

Elmer: Well, I just don't know...I mean, if we were to have kids...you're half alien.

Harmonica: But...how did you tell? My eyes are normal now!
Elmer: Um, you're green. And the rest of your family is, well, not green. It's not hard to figure out. And I'm really not looking for an inter-species relationship.

We now interrupt your teenage angst for yet another birthday. Happy birthday, dear Violin...

Well, a new outfit is necessary. But otherwise, very nice. Any thoughts on an aspiration?

Violin: I want a ton of money!

So we've got a little bit of everything here-romance, pleasure, and fortune.

And what would a week in this town be without a fire?

 Aww, what a nice picture.

Violin: Mom wanted us to take a picture with Grandpa.

Really, Harmonica? Really?

At least Violin's is somewhat do-able. And it will keep her future house nice and full of animals...

Um...hit return too fast again. At least it was the right answer.

 Uh-oh...

There have been too many deaths this round. Grimmy's made an appearance on almost every lot.

And she was just a toddler at the beginning too...Bye, Emma!

Wow, and even Olivia got money.

And as much as I hate to leave on such a sad note, it's time for me to be on my way. But first...scholarship time! Nice job Harmonica.

Nice job Drum...
But Violin is the winner! I'll see all three of you at graduation, and your parents and sister next round!

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: I can't take all these Sim deaths! Emma was just a toddler when I started this town. I know, 9 rounds is a long time, but I didn't really expect her to die this week. And about Harmonica's eyes...they will go back to black when she becomes an adult. For some reason, teen alien eyes don't show up in my game-they default to the Maxis brown. But it's only the teens that are affected for some reason.

The teen alien anomaly is weird! There does seem to be a lot of deaths in your updates. At least you out number them with babies!

What a weird glitch. Poor Harmonica, silly boy doesn't like aliens. Come on, 50 1st dates is do-able, annoying, but do-able. I completed 2 of them yesterday.

Stupid jerk face Elmer... I wish there was a way to keep those eyes on Harmonica... they kind of remind me of Mountain... only... not brown. She's still pretty cute though.

I love the Elmer part; too bad he isn't the one for her!
