Halpert 2: Round 10

Last round, Tracie Halpert and her fiancĂ© Taurus moved back into Tracie's parents' (newly-renovated) house after completing college. Tracie kept busy, not only in her job in law enforcement but also giving birth to not one but two sons, Jesse and Anthony. Taurus, however, opted out of the work force to focus on achieving his lifetime want, having 20 pet best friends.

Alright, so picking things right up where we left off...

Taurus: Ok, now let's get downstairs for the other birthday...

Other birthday?

Well, this is certainly handy...Happy birthday, dear Jesse...

Not bad...not bad.

Jesse: Grandpa, how many of those flowers are you going to make?

Shawn: Well, I have to make a lot...I have 15 grandchildren and I want them all to get at least one...

Jesse: Wow, 15? Why haven't we ever all been together?

Because the mysterious voice would be driven insane...

Apple: Oh, you got him? I could have taken him downstairs...

Taurus: No, I've got it.

Apple: I'm not used to having a stay at home dad...I've always been with the kids by myself, or with that nanny but she didn't do much of anything...

Oops...well, these guys have more than enough money anyway...

Taurus: I think I'll go get Anthony a bottle:

Apple: No, no...please, let me...

Something tells me Apple's really wanting to feel needed around here...

Nice going, Tracie!

Tracie: Thanks!

Jesse: Mom, can you tell me about evolution?

Tracie: Sure, honey. You know, my class was the first to learn about that.

Jesse: Really?

Tracie: Yup. We were all sure the world was going to end...

Jesse: That's silly, Mom.

Tracie: Yeah...yeah, it was.

Happy birthday, dear Anthony...

And he's ready for the toddler prom...or a toddler wedding reception...

Apple: Goodnight...

What about the other one?

Apple: Oh, those toddlers are always up at odd hours. Tracie's downstairs trying to teach him to walk.

Tracie: Come on, buddy...you can do it...

I guess if the baby's going to be up at midnight you might as well make the most of it...

Odd choice in pajamas, but otherwise he's adorable...

Oh, jeez...sorry...I'll just be downstairs...

Man, I can't catch a break in this house. I'm glad to see age hasn't slowed you two down any...but you may want to get a room...

Hey Tracie, do you have a minute?

Tracie: Sure...

I wanted to know if you'd help me out with something...

Tracie: With what?

I have this...project that I've been working on, and I need an...assistant, let's say.

Tracie: Hold that thought, mysterious voice...something feels strange...

Tracie: Oh, my...

Tracie: What was that you were saying?

You know what? Let's talk after the baby's born.

Jesse: I got an A+!

Great job!

Man, it's a good thing the rain puts out these tree fires because otherwise this entire town would be ash by now.

Taurus: Are you sure I have to be friends with 20 different animals? Can't I just be really, really good friends with this one?

It's your lifetime want, dude. I had nothing to do with it.

Happy birthday, Jamie...

I guess it's any day now, huh?

Tracie: Yeah, thankfully Anthony grows up tonight so I won't have two little ones around...

Happy Birthday, dear Anthony...

Not bad...the Halperts have good genetics.

Taurus: So, what was she asking you to do?

Tracie: I don't know. I started showing right before she asked me and then she said to wait until the baby comes.

Taurus: You don't have to go anywhere, do you? Because I can't be alone with all these kids, even if your parents do live here...

Relax, Taurus. She doesn't have to go anywhere...I think...

Tracie: And then the littlest llama said....ow!

Anthony: What was wrong with the littles llama, mom?

I don't think that ow was part of the story, Anthony...

It's baby time!

Just one...

And it's a girl!

Tracie: Meet Daphne!

She's adorable.

Tracie: Want a closer look?

You guys are finally starting to get with the program...

Looks just like her brothers so far...anyway, Tracie...do me a favor and meet my by your computer, ok?

Tracie: Is this about that project you needed my help with?

Yeah...do you remember when you were in high school and I showed you that...other world?

Tracie: I knew it! You've been going back there, haven't you? That's why you haven't been here!

No...well, yes. I have been going back there-but here's the thing. The people that live in that world, well...they're not as open to having a disembodied narrator as you guys are.

Tracie: I wouldn't say we're open to it...from the stories I've heard you were just kind of here when we moved in.

Well, either way, that other world isn't doing so hot and they really need my help...

This is Exception Rise. It's a town in that other world. Now, I've found 6 families in this world that are just getting on their feet-kind of like yours when they first got here. You guys are much more stable than they are, and I think having one of you do the talking for me might go over better.

Tracie: But how would I...

I'll do all the behind the scenes work, don't you worry. And who better to be my avatar than the local Captain Hero?

Tracie: Well, Ok...as long as you'll be doing most of the work. I still have 3 kids of my own to take care of. And as long as you're not going to stop coming around here...

I wouldn't dream of it.

Tracie: Now, I really have to get to work...

Work? You just gave birth this morning. You really must have super powers...

Giant robot...

Well, I guess that offsets the one from earlier in the week...

Oh, and we get a birthday before we head out. Happy birthday, Daphne!

And with that, I must be on my way. I'll see everybody else next round...except for Tracie, that is. I'll be seeing a lot more of you...

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: Yes, I started a Sims 3 Blog. And yes, Tracie is going to serve as a narrator (for now. Others may join her; I haven't decided yet.) I figured that since she was the only one to "see" the Sims from TS3 way back when, she would be an ideal candidate. The fact that I was on her lot while I was setting up the new blog was a pure coincidence. The new blog can be found at exceptionrisesims.blogspot.com

Other than that, it's been far to long since I've done a blog post. I'm out of practice...I missed 2 out of the 3 birthday cake pictures in this house. And yesterday (December 29th) was the 5 year anniversary of this blog! At this rate, I might just finish this challenge in under a decade...

Tranquility Bay Holiday Special 2012

Ok, everybody...you know the drill. Let's all get lined up for our neighborhood picture...families with toddlers in front, please. We can't see them if they're in back.

Tangerine: Why do we have to keep doing this? It's such a hassle.

Because I think it's a nice way to honor the holiday season.

Tangerine: What holidays? We don't have holidays here. We just have random decoration days.

Well, then I think it's a nice way to see how much your town has changed in the past year.

Tangerine: We'd have changed more if you'd shown up more often...

Ok, if Tangerine is done complaining, let's get this show on the road here...ok, everybody ready?

Everybody: Yes!

Great. Ok, 3, 2, 1...Go!

Everybody: Happy Holidays from Tranquility Bay!
