Halpert 2: Round 5

Last round, Apple Halpert and Shawn Scott moved in together after college. After a wedding at the local chapter, they both settled into their new careers. Shawn took up the politics track to satisfy his lifetime want of becoming the mayor, while Apple took a job in the education field. Soon, Apple became pregnant and gave birth to twin girls, Rosario and Idina.

And of course, it's 2 am and both the toddlers are up before the parents.

It's about time you two got up. What's the topic of discussion this morning?

Apple: We're still trying to decided whether or not to have another baby. Shawn is happy with the twins, but I would really like to have just one more.

Shouldn't you be at work?

Shawn: Nope. I have the day off today so I'm home with the twins while Apple's at work.

Nice job, Apple.

Apple: Thanks, mysterious voice. Check out the snow...

Um...it was snowing about 4 hours ago.

Apple: I don't think one more would be that much harder.

Shawn: (Sighs) Ok, Apple. We can try for one more.

I don't think Shawn ever stood a chance on this one.

Apple:
Are you two ready to be big sisters?

I don't think they're ready to be big anything yet.

Apple: Rosario, come back to Mommy honey...

Sure you can handle another one?

Apple: Well, by the time we have another baby they won't be toddlers anymore.

Um...let's hide.

Nice.

And the nanny once again lets the toddler pass out on the floor. Nice work, nanny.

Happy birthday, dear Idina and Rosario...

She's looking more and more blond every day.

Idina: Is that a bad thing?

Not really. Just remember that you actually have brown hair.

And their pajamas still match!

So now that the girls have grown up...

Shawn: We're going to start trying.

Oh...right now?

Apple: Um, yeah.

Ok, I'll just leave then.

I think new outfits are needed for both of you...but we'll take care of that in the morning.

I think number three is on the way!!

Hi, girls. How was your first day of school?

Rosario: Good. I made a friend!

I can see that...can you introduce her since I forgot to label her?

Rosario: This is Jenna Beesly.

Nice, Shawn! One lifetime want accomplished!

Idina: Mom, can you help with my homework?

Apple: Sure, honey. But let's do it fast, I'm feeling kind of tired.

Well, that explains why.

Apple: Goodnight, future big sister.

How do you think they're going to do with it?

Apple: I'm sure they'll do fine. Rosario is already excited about it.

Rosario: Dad, I'm worried about school. I didn't get my homework done last night...

Shawn: Don't worry, I'll help you before the bus comes.

You might want to get on that soon then.

No...

What? No is always the right answer...

Sorry, Shawn. But you still have the lifetime platinum...

Shawn: I know, but I'm still sad about losing my job.

Don't worry. I'm sure you'll get a great new job.

At least the day went well for someone...

Great job, girls.

Uh-oh. Nanny with a match...brace yourselves, everybody.

Well that was anticlimactic.

That's better. It's baby time everyone!

So...

Apple: It's a boy! Meet baby Adam!

Cute nursery. Let me get a shot of him...

He looks just like Idina-medium skin, brown hair, brown eyes. You guys don't have a lot of genetic diversity, do you?

What are you doing, girls?

Rosario: We're studying. It's the weekend and we needed something to do.

Well good for you for being productive.

Happy birthday, dear Adam...

Cute little guy, isn't he?

Apple: That's it, you're doing it...

You keep at it, Apple. I'll be seeing you guys next round...

Shawn: Ugh...I guess it wasn't such a good idea to pet the skunk.

I'll deal with this next round.

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: I guess I was overdue to get the bad result of that chance card, huh? At least Shawn didn't lose his permanent platinum from it.

Vega 1: Round 5

Last round, Aracely Vega and London Caligula welcomed their second child, daughter Kia, at the same time that their older son, Toyota, grew from a toddler to a child. London also achieved his dream of becoming an MVP. Despite all the positive events, London still avoided the "m" word for yet another week.

Good morning, Kia...

Kia: Ugh...morning, mysterious voice.

Ready for your first day of school?

Kia: I guess so...

Spending the day fishing, London?

London: I have the day off. I have to do something.

Uh-oh...I think number 3 is on the way.

Aracely: And we're still not even engaged.

Kia: I heard there were aliens that came and left weird pictures in people's houses...

Mango: No way. Aliens didn't leave those pictures.

Kia: Then who did?

Mango: Um...I don't know. But not aliens.

Glad to see that you're still so hands-on with the kids.

London: What? I'm a good dad.

Yeah...and since you're about to have three children, don't you think it's time you at least got engaged?

Toyota: You and Mom aren't married?

Oops...I thought he knew that already.

As I was saying earlier...number three is on the way.

Toyota: Mom, are you really not married?

Aracely: No...I'll talk to you about it after school, ok?

Aracely: So your father just never wanted to get engaged. And then we had you, and then Kia...it all just happened so fast. It's not that we don't love each other. I'm sure it will happen someday.

Sure, keep telling yourself that, Aracely.

Happy birthday, dear Toyota...

Not bad. So which aspiration would you like?

Toyota: I want a big family.

Alright, family it is.

London, come on. You're obviously going to be with this family for the long haul. Why won't you just go through with the wedding already?

London: I may love my kids, but I'm still a romance sim at heart. I just can't see myself being married.

Um, Toyota? What are you wearing?

Toyota: This is just what I grew up into.

I think a new outfit is in order....

London: I'm actually going to have to side with the mysterious voice on this one.

Ok, that's do-able.

Kia: Mom, I got an A+!

Great job, Kia, but you might want to let your mom sleep for awhile. Being pregnant is tiring.

Aracely: You know, this will be our third baby. Isn't it a little silly that we're not married yet?

London: It's not silly. It's modern.

Whatever you say, London.

It looks like it's time!

Just one more...

So...

Aracely: It's a girl! Meet baby Lexus!

Kia: Why does the baby have to sleep in my room?

Because there's only three bedrooms in your house, and she can't share a room with Toyota or your parents.

Wow...she looks just like Toyota and Kia did as babies.

Nice job, Aracely. And on your first day back from maternity leave.

Aracely: You sound great, honey!

Atta girl, Kia. Earn those skill points.

Happy birthday, dear Lexus...

Again, she looks exactly like Kia-strange chin and all.

Aracely: That's it...you can do it...

Kia: Hi, Lexi...

Cute nickname.

Oh, hi Tangerine.

Tangerine: I mean, can you believe it? They just went and had two more kids. We were fine when it was just us three girls.

Toyota: Yeah, I think we're just going to be friends.

Smart call, Toyota.

Aracely: Come on, Lexus. Can you say...anything?

Lexus: No!

Keep trying, Aracely.

This might work better.

Toyota: She doesn't seem to have as many issues as Tangerine.

And everybody gets a birthday this week. Happy birthday dear Kia...

Well, it's a better outfit than your brother. Now, which aspiration would you like?

Kia: Knowledge!

Alright, knowledge it is.

Whoo! Great way to end the week, Aracely. Now let's see how the kids did on their scholarships.

Nice job, Toyota.

Toyota: Thanks!

You know, Kia, if you don't feel ready you don't have to go this round. I already let Mandolin Martin stay an extra round...

Kia: Not me. I'm ready to go!

Can't argue with those results. See you both at graduation.

I can see college is going to be pretty eventful with both of you there.

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: Just so everyone knows, little Lexus was born during the live show of the Sims 2 Challenges podcast this past week. Once again, SheWhoSims guessed the gender and everyone in the chat pitched in on the name.
