Warner 7: Round 9

We're inching ever closer to the end of round 9! Next up is the new home of Island Warner and Meter Vega. Island has the honor of being both an only child and a middle child at the same time in Angelica Warner and Andre Holiday's house, while Meter is the eldest child of Temple and River Vega.

Hmm, not quite the education career that Island was hoping for but I guess it will do for now.

 As will this...

What are you guys up to?

Island: Playing catch.

Shouldn't you two, you know, be planning a wedding?

Island: Not yet. We barely had enough money for basic furniture. Plus, Meter starts work later today. We'll have the wedding later, when we can do it right.

Island: Hi, Valley...no, don't try to use the stove. Just heat something up in the microwave. I'm sure Dad will teach you how to cook when he has time. He was a celebrity chef, after all. And make sure you remember to feed the dog, ok?

Everything going ok back home?

Island: I guess Valley is having a tough time adjusting to being an only child.

Uh-oh...I know that look. I'll just be in the other room...

It's a bit of a pay cut, but at least it's in his desired career.

I love having two Sims with the same lifetime want. So simple.

Although it looks like Island is going to have to wait a few days to really get started.

 Nice going, Meter.

Meter: Thanks.

 Concerned about baby weight?

Meter: I've packed on a few pounds since we moved in.

So, in the past few days?

Uh-oh...good thing these guys have an alarm.

And so the cop with blonde pigtail braids takes down the robber.

 Looks like it's baby time!

 One more...

You've got to be kidding me. Another girl?

Island: I thought you wanted us to have girls to pass the houses through.

I do, but by my calculation that's...six girls in a row now.

Island: Well, then Katniss here should have a lot of friends.

Katniss...hmm, why does it seem like I've been hearing that name everywhere recently?

 Nice job.

Island: Thanks.

Let's see...brown hair, medium skin, and I think I see blue eyes. A pretty good mix of both parents.

 Happy birthday, dear Katniss...

Wow, she's ready for the toddler prom, isn't she?

 Much better.

Meter: Thanks, I think so too.

Whoa, when did it become winter?

Island: I barely noticed the change too, until the snow came.

Um, Meter, you might want to stop reading for a minute.

Meter: Why?

I don't know...maybe because there's an arctic flightless bird in your living room?

Meter: Ahh, I'll deal with it in a minute.

...Ok, I think it's time for me to make my exit now. I'll see all of you next round.

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: This house is so easy it borders on boring. Island and Meter have the same aspiration and the same lifetime want, so keeping them both happy is pretty simple. There was no wedding this week. I lost track of time and didn't get a chance to do it. It will happen next round for sure, though. And yeah, six girls in a row. For everyone's information, of the 11 new houses set up after college graduation that I've played only two have had boys. Matching these kids up later on is going to be a hassle.

Beesly 14: Round 9

Yes, believe it or not we have reached the 14th lot in the Beesly family. This one belongs to Helvetica, the eldest daughter of Air and Adam, and Jazz Holiday who is the last of the Holiday family to be added to the town.

 Something wrong, Jazz?

Jazz: I think we overspent on this house...do we really need all this?

Don't worry, you're just not used to living in this part of town. Having, you know, a structure and basic furnishings is kind of customary.

Since I didn't get to see Jazz pick his lifetime want, I figured I should get that down too...that should compliment Helvetica's "have 50 1st dates" quite nicely.

Highest paying job he could get, I guess...neither of them have career-related lifetime wants so anything goes.

Why not? They're in the same career-it's cute.

I see dressed-up relatives! That can only mean one thing!

 It's wedding time! That's a very...daring dress for one's wedding day.

At least Air and Adam's horrible outfits compliment one another.

And what would a wedding reception be without dancing?

So, I can't help but notice that you're in your work uniform now, Jazz.
Jazz: Well, you know, the carpool came.

It was the middle of your wedding reception, Jazz. I think they would have cut you some slack.

Or maybe not, seeing as how they're reading Helvetica the riot act and they never even sent a car for her.

 Changing jobs?

Helvetica: I don't want to be in a career where I can lose everything for no real reason.

So you're going into show business?

Helvetica: Sure. Name one field that's more secure than that.

Um, any of them, really...

Looks like it doesn't matter much right now, though.

Shower brake?

Jazz: Yes. I knew we overspent on this house. Everything is falling apart, and we can't afford a repairman!

Don't worry, I'm sure you can fix the shower. It won't electrocute you.

 Any day now, huh?

Helvetica: Yup.

Nice going, Jazz...about the promotion, not the flu.

Jazz: I figured.

I know that look! It's baby time!

Another girl? Did somebody spike your food with watermelon?

Helvetica: Huh? What does watermelon have to do with anything?

Um, nothing. So what's her name?

Helvetica: Kayley.

Hmm...looks like she's mostly taking after Grandpa Adam...

Any reason you painted her room to match her outfit?

Helvetica: Well, hopefully this way the nanny will realize which room she's supposed to be in.

 Happy birthday, dear Kayley...

And I can see the Beesly in her face now.

Nice job, Jazz.

Jazz: Thanks, I'm not too good at this hairbow stuff.

Most dads' aren't, Jazz. It's ok.

You seem to be pretty good at teaching her to walk, though.

Well, my time here is just about up. We're getting really close to the end of the round! See all of you in round 10!

A Message from the Mysterious Voice: Ok, so all the posts should be complete now. I'm really happy I finally got all the Holidays into town, but I did realize that I'll probably have to download some new townies in the near future.
