Halpert 3: Round 4

Next up on our string of college grads is Kiwi Halpert and Steve Beesly. Kiwi was is the second daughter of Jessica and Christopher Halpert. Steve is the oldest son of Ashley Beesly and Joshua Martin. These two are one of Tranquility Bay's most compatible couples-let's see if Steve's unconventional family affects his adult life.

Hi, guys!

Kiwi: Hi, mysterious voice!

So are you two heading down to the chapel?

Steve: Nah, we're getting married the old fashioned way.

Ahh, a home wedding. Hi, Halperts. Glad to see you could all make it.

Jessica: I feel a little odd being pregnant at my second daughter's wedding.

Just don't think about it.

Look, it's a fruit salad!

Apple: Sorry I wore my wedding dress...

Oh, that's my fault. I forgot to change your formal wear back.

What a nice simple ceremony.

Followed by a family pillow fight...of course.

Wow, what a day.

Steve: I know. I never knew weddings could be so much work.

Well, since your parents never got married you can be forgiven.

Not feeling so well this morning, Kiwi?

Kiwi: .....

Um...let's hand it off.

Ok...not sure what that means, but ok.

Steve: What a first day.

Kiwi: Well, at least you made the right choice. I've heard those medicine choices can have some really bad results.

Nice choice of maternity wear, Kiwi.

Kiwi: It's certainly much more comfortable...or at least it seems more comfortable than the outfit my mom wore.

Nice going, Steve. Good timing, too.

Steve: Really? Why?

Because you're about to become a daddy!

Make that a daddy times 2! I think we've hit a twin spurt.

So?

Kiwi: It's a boy! Meet Mexico!

Gee, I wonder what the naming theme could be...

Kiwi: Hold on, we're not done...

Kiwi: We have a second boy! Meet baby England!

Well your sister just had two girls. That makes sense.

Kiwi: Well, at least I can tell them apart.

Yeah, let me get a closeup.

Ok, so England has the lighter skin...

And Mexico has darker skin.

Wow, and on your first day back too.

Kiwi: Well, I had all that time to prepare.

Um...ok. I guess they can use all the help they can get.

Kiwi: Wow, two babies are a lot of work.

Well, you're not alone. Your sister had twins too.

Kiwi: It must be a family thing.

And back to the pillowfighting.

Steve: Hey, we need a break somehow.

Happy birthday dear Mexico...

I hate it when toddlers grow up into pajamas. But he's still a cutie.

Happy birthday dear England...

Wow, a decent outfit and unique hair. He must be lucky.

And so, the training begins.

And continues...nice choice of outfits for him, by the way.

Kiwi: Thanks, mysterious voice.

You're lucky they both grew up on a Friday night.

Steve: This is a full time job in itself.

Kiwi: Come on, go potty like a big boy.

Steve: Can you say...

England: No!

Well, we know we have to work on listening.

Whew! What a way to end the week.

Steve: It's Sunday night already?

Yup. Time goes by faster with twins, doesn't it?

A Message From The Mysterious Voice: I like that Apple and Kiwi both had sets of twins, but Apple had two girls while Kiwi had two boys. Next up are Eric Schrute and Destiny Warner. Big story elements coming up in the next house. Stay tuned...or, well, you know.

Halpert 2: Round 4

Now that the college graduation is done, it's time to start the endless barrage of new houses. First up is Apple Halpert and Shawn Scott.

Apple is the oldest child of Jessica and Christopher Halpert, although her younger sister Kiwi is not far behind her. Shawn is the middle son of Emily and Lawrence Scott, and Emily's 4th son overall.

Hi, guys. Glad to see you made it back from college ok.

Apple: Yes, we're both fine, but I'm really not crazy about these pants.

Don't worry, I'll make sure you get some new clothes. Now why don't you go see your new house...

Apple: Um, mysterious voice?

Yeah?

Apple: Who are all these people?

What people?

Apple: Well, there seems to be three little girls, and there's some pictures of a pregnant woman...why would these pictures be in a brand new house? Shawn, what do you think?

Shawn: Huh? Oh, um, I don't know.

Typical oblivious man.
Where are we going off to?

Apple: We're heading over to Tranquility Bay Chapel, to get married. It's too much of a hassle to do the wedding here.

I see.

And yet again nobody sits in the chairs! Why did I bother putting those in?

I think I'll let the moment speak for itself.
Another picture?

Apple: Yes, of a different girl.

You know, you don't have to keep them up...

Apple: No, I don't mind. Whoever left them her obviously loved these people a lot, and I think it gives the house character.

I like the way you think, Apple.

Dress for Spirit Day, Apple. Don't forget the face paint!
See? It worked.
Nice job, Apple.

Apple: Thanks, mysterious voice.

Um, not such a nice job here.

Apple: Oh, no...
Well, that explains why you were cooking so much.

Nice going, Shawn!

Shawn: Thanks. I'm only one level away from my lifelong dream of becoming the mayor.

I still don't see how a mayor is higher on the ladder than a senator.
Apple: I think it's time!

Oh, well. I guess I'll have to contemplate SimCity's political system later. It's baby time!

Make that babies time.

And the first one out is....

Apple: It's a girl! Meet baby Idina!

Apple: Oh,  boy...we're not done yet...

And the second one out is...

Apple: Another girl! Meet Rosario!

At least I can tell them apart with the different skin colors.

Ok, so Idina has lighter skin, brown hair, and brown eyes.

And Rosario has dark skin, but still brown hair and brown eyes.

Hmm, let's go with pro-control.

Yes! That's 2 in one week. I'm on a roll.

Congratulations, Apple, but you might want to get inside and get that nanny out of here.

Apple: Oh, yeah. I remember from when Kiwi and Tangerine were little.

Happy birthday dear Idina and Rosario...

Well, Rosario is pretty much a carbon copy of her mom.

And Idina grew up with slightly lighter hair than her eyebrows...who said they need to match, anyway, right?
And so the marathon of teaching begins. Better get the coffee ready.

Shawn: Come on, Rosario, you can do it...

Ok, so Shawn is in charge of walking...

And Apple is in charge of talking. Nice system.

Idina: Mama!

And it seems to be working pretty well. She sure is smart.

Your gardener, on the other hand...look at those flowers! They're in anything but a wonderful condition!

So any plans for a third child?

Shawn: I don't know. We only had the two extra bedrooms, and we had girls so we have an heiress.

Apple: Well, the twins do start school soon...

I see the jury is still out on that.

They are little cuties, aren't they? And their pajamas match!

Well, it's about time I wrapped this week up.

Apple: Goodnight, honey. Mommy loves you.

A Message From the Mysterious Voice: This family is living in my favorite house that I've ever built in the game. It was originally from the hood I played before starting Tranquility Acres, a long time ago. I packaged it to make the sims living there into townies in this hood, hence the pictures on the walls. And it's about time I got some natural twins in this town. Something tells me I'm in for a spurt, though.
